We are working with local organizations to encourage youth participation and involvement in STEM fields.
One such avenue is Developing Young Minds, a student-run nonprofit club that educates elementary school children on a wide range of subjects and donates 100% of the proceeds to the Oakland Public Education Fund, supporting underserved children to receive a better education.
We partnered with DYM to host a series of workshops and zoom sessions teaching the audience about robotics. In order to make it engaging for the viewers we designed an informative yet easy-to-understand lesson plan, with simple analogies and activities, as well as a live demonstration of our FTC robot.

This year we have also mentored passionate Joaquin Moraga Intermediate students to organize helpful sessions with them about robotics, and to guide them in making their very own robotics tech challenge team at the middle school.
